GUITAR DAY. Who loves Tom?
Recording Day 2 (Part II)
Awesome day! After we got through with recording piano and lead vox, we headed back to Derek’s studio to get started with guitars. We got about half way through and then finished up later the next day.
Happy turkey day ya’ll!!!!!!!!
Love,
Josh
Day Two (Part I)
This was a great day in the recording process. We had the opportunity to record for about two hours at The Tracking Room in Nashville. Pianos were knocked out sooner than expected so we decided to do a few vocal takes. We ran through three vocal takes for each song, went back and fixed a few spots and then called it an afternoon. If I had any substantial amount of money, I would buy the mic we did vocals with. It’s MINE you hear me!!!! MINEEEE!!! WE Grabbed lunch at the gross mart then started on guitars (next video).

PART II
PART I
Recording Day 1 - Parts I & II
Recording drums, bass, rhodes and synth stuff on our first day. Spent about 16 hours at Derek’s studio. Everything sounds bad ass!!!

At The Sound Vortex in Nashville, TN setting up to record with Derek Garten.
Recording - Set Up Day
Finally! After touring on Everything Is Working Out Fine In Some Town for over a year we’ve recorded a new offering. It’s a two song single called No Comfort, available in early January… unless you decide to pre-order :) The single release will consist of two songs, No Comfort and Drop Me A Line. We’re very excited about these songs and are relieved to have them recorded after incubating them for so long.
This video is basically just the set up process and some other funny stuff… but stay tuned in for a new video everyday this week taking you through the recording process… it was a lot shorter this time around :)

Josh and Tom played an Elliott Smith tribute show in Nashville a few nights back. Here are two songs.
Also, if you get time please check out the Elliott Smith Memorial Fund. All donations go to two very awesome non-profits:
We’re starting to record again! It’s been over a year since we released Everything Is Working Out Fine In Some Town (E.I.W.O.F.I.S.T. for short… that’s not that short either actually). Over the course of the last year we’ve toured in support of that record quite a bit. It’s been really fun, we’ve met so many cool people. We decided that it’s time to put out some new stuff for our peoples though, so we’re home for awhile. Stay tuned, actual recording begins November 5th - 9th :)
